Finally, got the entire science department online and running! now to focus on city growth.
From this: Blue to Yellow…
To this: Blue to Red. also Upscaled the lot, cause why not!
I can take closer shots if anyone wants to see certain area’s

@McVe1gH I reckon you’re right, but I never plan that far ahead
I see the clear organisation you’ve got, and I envy it, just can’t emulate it!
I like his delivery, and many of the games he comes across.
It’s given me a bit of a new view on Early Access games, which I’m trying to support more.
Hey,
You may need to upgrade you habitats, having all the habitats at the same level kinda dulls the look of the city according to the colonists.
Hey
yep, I found out. but thanks.
So can we just say that elevated roads are a futuristic invention? is this going to cause issues down the line, if say the dev’s decide floating roads need to go? lol
They kinda look like hover trucks anyway, so maybe the roads are just guidelines
32 hours played, 10K population, finished tech tree. Wonderful game.
My design is 7 separate clusters connected by trains. Lots of trains.
Power supply is 12 nuclear power plants (not shown in picture)
I had a fun time making this one for the traffic lights update. Want to clean up those train lines though.
Wanted to try putting all of the production in one spot using a train line to shuttle intermediates.
My latest playthrough - running smoothly city with 15.3k population on 100% renewable energy, 14k power, since every uranium ore is used for 9.5/m red science, generating 1.2k/m nanotubes, 253/m nanoprocessors, 1.17k/m steel, 1.3k/m concrete.
I’m loving the trains and grid updates. I finally learned to make nice smooth road turns and smooth slopes with train rails.
I would love to create even bigger city, but I’m at 10-15 fps now and laying/changing roads takes a long time to process.
Tech district and first city. Supporting 7,500 plus science. I have the infrastructure to go up to 10k population but taking things slow. Transport roads are a little messy and am starting to work in industrial robots, high tech workshops and trains.
Still a work in progress.
This road layout remainds my of the compartment in my backpack I keep all my different cables in
But 7500 science? That’s impressive.
