Power substation and power pole after update

I’m having issues connecting power poles to a substation. It seems that after the update the first power pole needs to be right next to a substation to be able to connect to the substation. So now you end up with more power poles than before the update.

The same applies when you want to connect 2 power poles, now they have to be within 1 block from each other to connect.

+1 same here - my current workaround is to drop a pole near by to connect, then drag it farther and that way power lines extend properly

While the workaround works quite reliably, placing down the poles to create your grid doesn’t feel very natural anymore.
