So I closed the game and it was no longer in my task manager applications or details, but it was still running in Steam. I tried to stop it a couple of times before resorting to restarting steam. I attempted to recreate the issue and the same thing has happened again, for whatever reason the process is not terminating in Steam it’s self.
Update: This seems to have sorted it’s self out now.
I’ve had this happen to me as well. It’s mainly when my game crashes, then I try to repoen it, and an error message appears. I then stop the game in Steam, but it always says ‘Stopping’. I then have to restart my computer to officially stop the game.
