Game Crashing after selecting a building or running for a long time

I have had it crash two times today:

• First time I was leaving the game running to get through the research of yellow science items while I was working.
• Second time I had selected a building (I think it was either the methane extractor or the steel mill)

I do notice that there are times when updating roads it chugs for a moment.
Not sure what else to be more specific.

Will post saves and logs once I figure out how to do that.
