Constructing long a long train tarck/road crashes the game with out of memory (Alpha 11.6.234)

Also, the little blue rings that allow for easy movement of roads disapeared after the first segment of the track.
Then after two or three longer ones the game crashed.

  • is this reproducible?
  • how much memory does your system have and how much does InfraSpace usually use in your save?

The system has 12GB of RAM, 3.5 are used by the base system and its services. With the safe freshly loaded the system uses 7.8GB ‚Üí 4.2GB for the save when just looking around.

Then creating a long track uses another 0.6GB of RAM for a short time then it frees over 2GB leaving the game at 2.5GB after some stuttering.
After creating some detached rail the process of placing new long segments just takes very long, up to a minute for long curves.

While testing for a bit while the new track was connected to the rest of the network, I managed to freeze the game for ~2min once and the memory usage went up to 4.5GB for Infraspace, I was able to crash it again: Todays log
